About Me
Hi, I'm Sheree, a counsellor based in Sydney.
My journey into counselling began behind a hairdressing chair. For over 30 years, my clients trusted me with details of their lives they rarely shared with others, knowing they would be heard without judgement and met with compassion. That same thread led me into community charity work and managing op shops, walking alongside some of the most vulnerable in our community.
That experience, combined with formal qualifications in Counselling forms the foundation of my practice. I also bring something no qualification can teach — lived experience that allows me to meet you with genuine empathy, not just professional knowledge.
I hold strong ethical boundaries to protect your wellbeing and our therapeutic relationship, but within those boundaries, you'll find someone who is real, grounded, and genuinely invested in your growth.

If you’d like to meet first, I also offer a free 15‑minute consultation to help you decide whether counselling with me feels right for you.
Questions you might have
Things you might have been considering
In each session you'll have a calm, supportive space to talk about what has been happening for you.
We explore your experiences at your pace, without pressure or judgment.
You're welcome to bring whatever feels important- thoughts, emotions, situations or patterns you'd like support with.
If you're unsure where to start, that's completely ok.
We begin wherever you are.
Counselling can be helpful if you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, wanting support or simply wanting to understand yourself better.
You might find therapy helpful if you're noticing changes in your mood, relationships, stress levels, or the way you cope day-to-day. Some people come because they want to heal from past experiences; others come because they want to grow, make changes, or feel more grounded in themselves.
If you're unsure, that's completely okay. There's no pressure or expectation- just a supportive space to start where you are.
Anything that feels heavy, confusing, painful or important. Some common topics include, anxiety, stress, relationships, parenting, self-worth, life changes and emotional overwhelm.
There is no "right" topic- this is a space for you.
Yes. Everything you share is confidential, with a few legal exceptions- such as risk of harm or mandatory reporting requirements.
We discuss these clearly in your first session, so you feel informed and safe.
Being trauma-informed means I work in a way that prioritises your safety, choice and comfort at every step. I understand that past experiences can shape how you feel, respond, relate and I'll always move at a pace that feels manageable for you. You're in control of what you share, and there's no pressure to talk about anything before you're ready. My role is to offer a supportive, respectful space where you can explore your experiences with care and without judgement.
Sessions are held by secure online video or by phone. You'll receive a link before your appointment, and you can join from any private, comfortable space.
Online counselling works the same way as in-person therapy- the support, connection, and therapeutic process remain the same.
A good therapeutic fit is important. If at any point you feel I'm not the right person for you, we can talk about it openly - and I can help you find someone who is.
Your wellbeing comes first.
